How can I make Flip Cards easy to use on phones (and control hover vs click) in the Flip Cards widget?
Many people expect the cards to “just flip,” but how they flip is a separate setting. By default, interaction may rely on hover, which does not work the same way on touchscreens.
Open Interaction settings
Select the Flip Cards widget.
Open the Appearance tab.
Expand Interaction & Animation.
Choose Hover or Click
Under Flip Trigger, pick one:
Hover — Good for desktop previews; flips when the pointer moves over the card.
Click — Better when many visitors use phones or tablets: they tap once to flip and tap again to flip back (behavior matches how the preview implements click mode).
Direction and speed (when available)
Flip Direction may offer Horizontal or Vertical.
If you do not see it, your current template handles motion its own way and that control is hidden for that layout.Animation Speed adjusts how long the flip feels (from fast to slow).
What to expect on mobile
With Hover, touch devices may not behave like a desktop hover—visitors can struggle to “peek” the back of the card.
Switching to Click is usually the clearest fix for touch-first audiences.
If the flip still feels wrong after changing templates
Different Templates use different motion styles. If you change the template, always recheck Interaction & Animation—some options only appear for certain templates.
