How can I add a category and questions inside it in the FAQ widget?

Use the Content tab in the FAQ widget editor. Categories are the top-level groups; each category holds its own list of questions and answers.

Part A — Add a category

  1. Open your FAQ widget in the editor.

  2. Select the Content tab (sometimes shown with a database/content icon).

  3. Scroll to the CATEGORIES section.

  4. Click Add (next to the CATEGORIES heading).

    • A new category is created and opens for editing.

  5. Click the category row to expand it if it is collapsed.

  6. Under CATEGORY TITLE, type the name visitors should see (for example “Shipping”, “Billing”, “Product”).

  7. (Optional) Under ICON, paste an image URL or upload an icon image so the category can show a visual marker where your layout supports it.

Part B — Add questions inside that category

  1. With the same category still expanded, find the QUESTIONS section inside it.

  2. Click Add Question.

    • A new question block appears (it may open expanded).

  3. Click the question row to expand it if you need to edit details.

  4. Under QUESTION TEXT, enter the question visitors will read.

  5. Under ANSWER TEXT, enter the full answer.

  6. Repeat steps 2–5 for every additional question that belongs in this category.

Part C — Save and check the preview

  1. Save your widget when your editor requires it so changes are stored.

  2. Check the preview: questions you added under that category should appear grouped under that category’s title.

Tips

  • Use one category per topic (for example all shipping questions under “Shipping”) so visitors can scan faster.

  • To remove a ca

tegory or a question, use the trash icon on that category or question row (only after you are sure you no longer need it).

  • You can drag categories (and questions) using the grip handle to reorder them when your layout lists them in order.
