Why doesn’t my website show inside the Device Mockup widget?

If you chose Website and pasted a URL, the widget tries to show that page inside the device. Sometimes you only see a blank area, a browser error, or a partial result. That is usually not a bug in the mockup—it is how the target website allows embedding.

Why this happens

Some websites send security headers (for example rules like “do not allow this page inside another site’s frame”). When that happens, the page cannot be displayed inside the Device Mockup preview the way a normal browser tab would.

The editor also reminds you: many websites block embedding via iframes. That message is there because this is common across the web.

What you can do instead (recommended)

  1. Take a screenshot of the page yourself (or export one from your design tool).

  2. In ContentContent Source, switch to Upload or Link and use that image.

That gives visitors a consistent, polished mockup even when the live site cannot be embedded.

How to confirm the URL itself is fine

  • Open the same Website URL in a normal browser window.

  • Make sure it loads with https:// and no typos.

If it loads in the browser but not in the mockup, embedding restrictions are still the likely cause—use an image-based source for a reliable result.
