How can I use dark mode and color settings in the World Clock widget without breaking clarity?

Apply brand colors and dark mode safely while preserving contrast between time values, labels, and accents.

How can I use dark mode and color settings in the World Clock widget without breaking clarity?

Color settings are powerful, but low contrast can make clocks hard to read. Some layouts also have fixed/limited theme behavior, so test style changes per layout.

  1. In Appearance, adjust Background, Text, and Accent colors.

  2. Toggle Dark Mode only if the layout supports it well for your content context.

  3. Keep high contrast between background and text for quick time recognition.

  4. For strong accent styles, use accent color sparingly so time digits remain dominant.

  5. Re-check after switching templates, since different layouts respond differently to theme settings.

Use this setting when your clock matches brand colors but readability drops.

Check this if the result does not look right:

  • If time is hard to read, increase text/background contrast first.

  • If accent color overwhelms content, soften accent saturation.

  • If theme behaves unexpectedly, test a layout known for cleaner theme control (like Analog Grid or Global List).
