How can I choose between Floating and Embed mode in the Website Translate widget?

Decide where the translator should appear and configure layout/position so it helps users without blocking page content.

How can I choose between Floating and Embed mode in the Website Translate widget?

Use Floating when you want a sticky translator always available on screen. Use Embed when the selector should sit inside page content.

This screenshot should show display mode selection and how position behaves.

  1. Open the widget and go to Appearance.

  2. Choose Display Mode:

    • Floating: stays fixed while users scroll

    • Embed: appears inline where placed in content

  3. Go to Templates and pick a visual layout (Glass Pill, Minimal Bar, Bubble Pop, Cyberpunk).

  4. If using Floating, set position in Templates > Position (top/bottom, left/right based on layout).

  5. If using Embed, place it where language switching is expected (header/intro/footer block).

  6. Test on mobile and desktop to ensure it doesn’t obstruct important CTA/buttons.

Use this setting when users miss the translator or complain it overlaps important page elements.

Check this if the result does not look right:

  • If it blocks UI, move from Floating to Embed or change corner position.

  • If users can’t find it, use Floating with a clearer layout style.

  • If position controls seem disabled, verify you are not in Embed mode (position is intentionally limited there).
