How can I set up the right language list in the Website Translate widget?
The highest-impact setup is your language list. The widget always keeps a Website language default row, and your selected language order controls what users see first.
This screenshot should show that Website language is fixed and additional languages are reorderable.
Open your Website Translate widget and go to Content.
Keep Website language as the default baseline (it is fixed and not removed).
Add only your highest-priority visitor languages from Add Language.
Drag to reorder languages so your top audience languages appear first.
Remove low-priority languages to keep the selector clean and easy to scan.
Test switching between 2-3 top languages on a real page to confirm expected behavior.
Use this setting when visitors are seeing too many language choices or switching to the wrong language first.
Check this if the result does not look right:
If the list feels cluttered, reduce language count to only key markets.
If language order looks wrong, drag-reorder in Content.
If “default” behavior is unclear, confirm Website language remains present as the source state.
