Why is my QR Code widget link not validating or scanning correctly?

The QR Code widget validates many URL types (like Instagram, YouTube, Google Docs, PDF). If format is off, the QR may not resolve as expected.

This screenshot should show where invalid input appears and where the corrected URL should be entered.

  1. Go to Content and select your destination type.

  2. Enter a complete destination link (prefer full https://... format).

  3. For type-specific links, use platform-valid URLs:

    • Instagram: instagram.com/...

    • YouTube: youtube.com/... or youtu.be/...

    • Telegram: username or t.me/...

    • PDF: direct URL ending in .pdf

  4. Wait for validation feedback and confirm no error text is shown.

  5. Scan the preview QR with a real phone camera.

Use this setting when a QR scans but opens an unexpected page, or when users see URL validation errors.

Check this if the result does not look right:

  • If PDF type fails, confirm URL ends with .pdf.

  • If social URL fails, ensure domain matches that platform.

  • If WhatsApp/Phone types fail, clean up phone format and country code.
