How can I set the right timezone for an Event Calendar widget event?
Use the timezone field when event timing matters across different locations. This is important for online events, webinars, international events, and any event where visitors may not be in the same timezone as the host.
Choose a timezone for the event
Open the Events tab and expand the event. In Schedule & Location, set the start date, start time, end date, and end time. Then use the Timezone dropdown to choose the event timezone.
If you leave the timezone as Auto (Browser), the event uses the visitor browser context. If the event must happen at a fixed local time, choose the exact timezone, such as Eastern Time, India (IST), GMT / London, or UTC.
When a fixed timezone is better
Use a fixed timezone for webinars and online meetings.
Use the venue timezone for physical events.
Use UTC only when your audience expects technical or global scheduling.
If visitors report the wrong time, check the event timezone before changing the date or time.
After changing the timezone, preview the event card and the event detail popup so the schedule reads clearly.
