How can I use the Button widget to copy a coupon code?

Use the Copy to Clipboard action when the Button widget should copy a code or short text for the visitor instead of sending them to another page.

This screenshot should show where to choose the copy action and where to enter the text that will be copied.

Add the text to copy

Open the Templates tab and select Copy to Clipboard. Then open Setup > Trigger & Action and enter the exact text visitors should copy.

For example, you can enter a coupon code like SAVE20, a support email address, a short referral code, or any small piece of text that visitors may need to paste elsewhere.

Good uses for this action

  • Copy a coupon code before checkout.

  • Copy a referral code or invite code.

  • Copy a bank transfer reference or short instruction.

  • Copy a support email address when you do not want to open the visitor's email app.

What to check while testing

  • Test on the live page, because clipboard behavior can depend on the browser.

  • Keep the copied text short and exact.

  • If visitors need to see what was copied, include the code in the button label, sub-text, or nearby page content.
