How can I make the Button widget open WhatsApp correctly?
Use the WhatsApp button type when you want visitors to start a chat from your website with one click. The most important part is entering the phone number in a format WhatsApp can open.
Choose the WhatsApp action
Open the Templates tab and select WhatsApp. Then go to Setup > Trigger & Action and enter the WhatsApp phone number in the destination field.
Use the full phone number with country code. For example, use a format like +1 234 567 8900 or 12345678900. The Button widget builds the WhatsApp link from that number when visitors click the button.
What to check if WhatsApp does not open
Make sure the number includes the country code.
Remove extra words, extensions, or notes from the number field.
Test the button on a live page, because the editor preview may not open every external app the same way.
If WhatsApp opens but shows the wrong contact, review the number saved in Trigger & Action.
