Use the download settings when visitors should be able to keep a copy of the PDF, open it in a separate tab, or only read it inside the widget. This controls the download action for the PDF Viewer widget without changing the PDF file itself.
1 Templates tab is where the PDF controls live. 2 Download Button controls whether visitors see the download action. 3 Open in New Tab decides whether the PDF opens separately instead of downloading in the same page flow.
Show the download action when visitors need the file
Turn on Show Download Link when the document is meant to be saved, shared, printed, or opened later. This is usually best for catalogs, reports, brochures, menus, forms, or product sheets.
Hide downloads when the PDF should only be read
Turn off the download action when you want the widget to behave more like an embedded reader. Visitors can still read the PDF in the widget, but they will not see the download button from the widget controls.
Use Open in New Tab for safer browsing
Keep Open in New Tab enabled when the PDF should open separately from the current page. This helps visitors return to your website after viewing the document.
In Viewer mode, the download button appears in the viewer controls when enabled.
In Grid mode, the download label can appear on each document card.
In List mode, the download action appears as a compact button on each row.
If a download button does nothing, check that the PDF file was uploaded or replaced correctly in the file manager.
