When to use this
Use the full-width setting when the News Ticker widget should behave like a site-wide announcement bar, header strip, footer strip, or news ribbon that stretches across the available page width. This is useful when you want the ticker to feel connected to the page layout instead of sitting inside a narrow container.
Suggested annotations: 1. Open the Layout or Templates settings. 2. Find the container width controls. 3. Switch on Full Width. 4. Check the preview edge-to-edge width after saving.
Steps
Open the News Ticker widget editor.
Go to the Templates or Layout tab.
Find the container width settings.
Turn on Full Width.
Preview the widget to confirm it stretches across the available screen width.
Save the widget.
What changes after enabling Full Width?
The News Ticker widget uses the full available width of the area where it is placed.
The max-width setting is no longer needed while full width is enabled.
The ticker has more horizontal room, which helps longer headlines feel less cramped.
Tips
Use full width for top bars, bottom bars, announcement strips, and homepage news ribbons.
If the ticker is inside a website section that already has a fixed width, the widget can only stretch to that section's width.
Keep headlines short even in full-width mode so visitors can scan the ticker quickly.
If the ticker looks too tall after stretching, use the layout height setting to choose a more compact height.
