Use Cookie Categories & Scripts when you want a script to wait until the visitor allows the matching cookie category. This is useful for tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, heatmaps, chat tracking, or advertising tags.
What to notice in the screenshot
Category: Choose the consent category that controls when this script is allowed.
Script Code: Paste the complete script tag or code snippet from the tool you are adding.
Add Script: Use this when you need to add another script under the same or a different category.
Before the script settings appear
The script section appears only when the Cookie Consent widget is set to Ask users and the Preference Center is enabled. If you cannot see Cookie Categories & Scripts, check those two settings first.
Add one script to one category
Click Add Script, choose the category, and paste the script code. For example, place Google Analytics under Tracking & Analytics and ad pixels under Targeting & Ads.
Do not add unrelated scripts into the same script block. Keeping one script per block makes it easier to troubleshoot and keeps each consent category clear.
How Poper runs the script
When a visitor clicks Allow All, scripts from all optional categories can run. When a visitor saves custom preferences, Poper runs only the scripts from the categories they allowed.
If the visitor denies a category, scripts assigned to that category will not run for that visitor.
