Poper prioritizes your account security! This guide will walk you through enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to add an extra layer of protection. With 2FA activated, logging in will require not only your password but also a unique code generated by your mobile device.
Enabling Two-Factor Authentication:
Access Your Profile:
Log in to your Poper account and navigate to your profile settings. You can typically find the profile settings by clicking on your username or avatar at the top right corner and selecting "Settings" or "Profile."
Locate 2FA Setting:
Within your profile settings, find the option labeled "Two-Factor Authentication" or "2FA."
Click "Enable":
Click on the "Enable" button associated with the 2FA setting.
Scan the QR Code (Recommended):
A QR code will be displayed on your screen. Open a mobile authentication app like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator on your smartphone. Locate the option to scan a QR code within the app and scan the code displayed on your Poper account.
Enter Code Manually (Optional):
If scanning the QR code isn't feasible, you'll see a code displayed beneath the QR code on your screen. You can enter this code manually into your mobile authentication app when adding a new account.
Verify with Code:
Once you've scanned the QR code or entered the manual code in your mobile app, a 6-digit code will be generated on your phone's authentication app. Enter this 6-digit code in the designated field on your Poper account screen.
Click "Verify":
Click the "Verify" button to complete the 2FA setup process.
Congratulations! Two-Factor Authentication is now enabled for your Poper account. From now on, whenever you log in, you'll be prompted to enter not only your password but also the unique 6-digit code generated by your mobile authentication app.
Disabling Two-Factor Authentication:
If you ever decide to disable 2FA, you can follow these steps:
Access Your Profile:
Log in to your Poper account and navigate to your profile settings as mentioned earlier.
Locate 2FA Setting:
Find the "Two-Factor Authentication" or "2FA" setting within your profile settings.
Click "Disable":
Click on the "Disable" button next to the 2FA setting.
