Poper's integration with ConvertKit, a popular email marketing platform, allows you to seamlessly add subscribers to your ConvertKit forms or sequences directly through your Poper popups. This guide will walk you through connecting Poper and ConvertKit, ensuring leads captured through your popups are automatically added to your chosen ConvertKit lists.

Prerequisites

A Poper account with an active popup campaign.

A ConvertKit account.

An API key for your ConvertKit account. (You can find your API key by navigating to Settings > Advanced > API Keys within your ConvertKit account.)

Setting Up the Poper and ConvertKit Integration

Access Your Poper Popup

Log in to your Poper dashboard and navigate to the specific popup you want to integrate with ConvertKit.

Open the Integrations Tab

On the left side of the popup editor, locate the "Integrations" tab and click on it.

Select ConvertKit Integration

From the list of available integrations, choose "ConvertKit."

Name Your Connection

Provide a clear name for your ConvertKit connection (e.g., ConvertKit Leads). This will help you identify it later.

Enter Your ConvertKit API Key

In the designated field, paste your ConvertKit API key that you obtained from your ConvertKit account settings.

Click "Next." Once you've entered your API key, click the "Next" button to proceed.

Select ConvertKit Form/Sequence

ConvertKit will load a list of all the forms and sequences present in your ConvertKit account. Choose the specific form where you want to add subscribers captured through your Poper popup, or the sequence you want to trigger upon signup.

Map Poper Fields to ConvertKit

This step allows you to match the data fields collected in your Poper popup form with the corresponding fields in your ConvertKit form or sequence. Use the dropdown menus to map each Poper field (e.g., email, name) to the appropriate ConvertKit field.

Add Custom Fields (Optional)

If your ConvertKit form or sequence has custom fields, you can utilize this section to define how Poper should populate those fields with data captured in your popup form.

Click "Connect." After completing the field mapping (and any custom field definitions), click the "Connect" button to establish the integration between Poper and ConvertKit.

Test the Integration

To verify the functionality of the integration, click the "Test Connection" button within Poper. This will send a sample request to ConvertKit, simulating a subscriber signup. Check your ConvertKit account to confirm that the test subscriber was successfully added to the chosen form or sequence.

Congratulations! With the Poper and ConvertKit integration successfully set up, leads who submit their information through your Poper popup will be automatically added to your designated ConvertKit form or sequence, allowing you to nurture them with targeted email marketing campaigns.
